The BSI requisition module is a powerful repository tool for managing requests, tracking workflow, and controlling access to specimens.

The requisition module is used to track operations performed on specimens in the inventory. An extensive range of tasks including aliquoting, labeling, destruction, shipping, returning to inventory, and other standard and customized processes are tracked.

The requisition module integrates reports, data entry screens, data importing, scanning, and data validation routines to provide a feature-rich environment for processing and tracking your specimen workflow.

The requisition module protects against unauthorized access to specimens and notifies the owner when a specimen is requested. BSI will also warn you when you are requesting a compromised specimen or when you are depleting a protected resource.

The requisition editor contains an enhanced search and selection tool that allows you to easily request specimens by a wide range of criteria. BSI will also suggest alternative specimens to use if your requested selection is not available.

A single requisition can handle up to 10,000 specimens at a time. A requisition can span across multiple repositories in order to coordinate large work efforts, enabling the submitter of the requisition (or the repositories themselves) to balance the workload to achieve the best response time.
