BSI location management provides the stable, flexible and scalable platform necessary to meet your storage tracking needs. When combined with BSI specimen tracking features, it provides a software tool unmatched in power and usability for your repository.

Since its inception, BSI has been a superb tool for specimen tracking. BSI version 6.0 adds support for tracking storage containers such as freezers, racks, goblets, rooms, shelves, etc.

The new BSI location management module provides you with the flexibility to track any type of specimen container. Totally flexible and scalable, this module adapts to your particular needs.

The location management module is also easy to use. Visually intuitive, you can browse the location tree, preview container contents in the preview pane, use the container editor to change a containers properties, drag and drop containers to move them in your repository, and much more.

The location management module also provides the ability to save configurations for later use. For example, suppose you use a standard freezer setup for all of your LN2 tanks. You can save a configuration for them, so when you get a new one it takes less than a minute to create and set up!

BSI also provides restricted user access to the location management module based on security privileges, and an automatic audit trail of all changes to the location data.
