The BSI Kits module provides a comprehensive interface where you can record all of your collection kit related information including supplies, constructed kits, shipped kits, kit centers, and more! From the Kit module kit manage the supplies that are included in your kits. Supplies are tracked by type, manufacturer, and lot number. BSI makes it easy to track your supply inventory stock totals as your kits are constructed. When a set of supplies is about to expire, BSI will warn you that it’s time to order more.
Creating new biospecimen kits is also easy in BSI. Kits can be built in an ad-hoc manner, or you can use kit templates to automatically build kits. Using kit templates allows you to standardize the components in a collection kit. A template allows you to add the types of supplies that your kits will need. Set up your templates once and you will be able to re-create a kit with one click every time. Creating and recording the kits you send out is fast, easy, and intuitive!
BSI also gives you the tools to track all your collection center information. Once a kit is sent, users can easily see the number of kits currently at a collection center. When a collection center is running low on kits, BSI will alert you that it’s time to send out more.
BSI also fully integrates the receipt of kits with the specimen acquisition module. Receiving and verifying the returned kits has never been simpler. Once you enter or scan the kit labels or IDs that you want to receive, the acquisition editor will be automatically populated with all the returned components in the kit. Receiving kits provides all of the discrepancy and importing ability available in our shipment tracking system while automatically adding your kit information to the acquisition module.
